A 20mm x 10mm device that weighs 0.3gm that can be programmed by a T.V. Infra Red remote to alter the power to a brushless motor in steps of 0.5seconds and will record parameters for a flight of over 1 minute.

Add to that the ability to remotely abort the motor run before the aircraft is damaged.

Instructions

 

The Brushless ZAPPER+ flight power parameters are programmed in exactly the same way as TheZAPPER

 

However the rudder positions are programmed in the following manner:

As the flight power parameters are entered,

Whatever the current rudder position is at that point in the programming is commited to memory for replay

The rudder position is changed by using the Brightness+ and Brightness- buttons on the remote.

 

To allow the DT (dethermaliser) to be held off power level 1 has been effectively reduced to zero.

 

so to programme the unit with no rudder change:

2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,0

will give ramp up to 8, continue at 8, ramp down past 2  to 1 and power now zero, on power level 0 cycle DT with no rudder movement.

 

To use rudder same flight as above:

Set start rudder position using Brightness+ and Brightness- indicated by "R" in scheme below

R,2,R,3,R,4,R,5,R,6,R,7,R,8,R,8,R,8,R,8,R,8,R,8,R...........ETC

If there is no rudder change required between two or several power level entries there is no need to move the rudder as the current rudder position is memorised every time a power level is entered.

 

Connections

 

There are three futaba type connectors on flying leads they are marked as follows:

ESC to the speed control

RUDDER to the rudder servo

DT to the DT servo (moves through 90 degrees as power level hits 0 then returns to initial position)
